Ingredients
2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 cup Sweet Baby Ray’s barbecue sauce
1/4 cup chicken broth
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon onion powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Optional: sliced green onions for garnish
Instructions
1. Prepare the Chicken: Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of the crockpot.
2. Mix the Sauces: In a bowl, combine the Sweet Baby Ray’s barbecue sauce with the chicken broth. Stir well to blend.
3. Season the Chicken: Evenly sprinkle the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper over the chicken.
4. Add the Sauce: Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken, making sure it is fully coated.
5. Cook: Cover and cook on low for 4 to 6 hours or on high for 2 to 3 hours, until the chicken is tender and easily shredded with a fork.
6. Shred the Chicken: Once cooked, use two forks to shred the chicken directly in the crockpot. Stir the shredded chicken into the sauce to combine.
7. Optional: Garnish with sliced green onions before serving to add a fresh touch.
