Ingredients
8 slices white bread, cubed (the more affordable, the better)
4 eggs
2 cups grated cheddar cheese
2 pounds halal sausage, cooked and crumbled
3 cups whole milk, divided
¾ teaspoon dry mustard
1 can (10.5 ounces) cream of mushroom soup
Instructions
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the halal sausage until fully cooked and golden brown.

Add grated cheddar cheese and cooked sausage evenly over the bread cubes.
In a medium bowl, whisk together 2 ½ cups of milk, eggs, and dry mustard.
Pour this mixture evenly over the bread, cheese, and sausage.
Cover the casserole and refrigerate overnight.
Preheat oven to 300°F when ready to bake.
In another bowl, combine cream of mushroom soup with remaining ½ cup milk and whisk until smooth.
Pour this mixture over the casserole.
Bake uncovered for 1 hour.
Notes
Use halal sausage instead of pork sausage to keep recipe halal.
Refrigerating overnight helps flavors meld and makes baking easier in the morning.
Serve warm and enjoy as a comforting holiday breakfast.
