Description
Delicious croissants filled with marzipan and mincemeat, topped with flaked almonds and icing sugar.
Ingredients
340g pack of croissant dough
150g marzipan
100g good-quality mincemeat
Fresh nutmeg
25g flaked almonds
Icing sugar
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 180C/160C fan/gas 4 and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
Unwrap the croissant dough and separate the triangles.
Cut half of the marzipan into small cubes and place 3-4 cubes along the shorter edge of each triangle.
Spoon 2 teaspoons of mincemeat into the center of each triangle.
Grate a little fresh nutmeg over the pastry.
Starting from the shorter edge with the marzipan, gently roll up the triangles and curl them slightly to form croissant shapes.
Arrange the croissants on the prepared baking tray.
Grate the remaining marzipan over the top of the croissants and sprinkle with flaked almonds.
Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Dust with icing sugar before serving.
Notes
Ensure to use good-quality mincemeat for the best flavor.
Let croissants cool slightly to avoid melting icing sugar too quickly.
